I thought this site, New Years Ideas was cute.
I especially liked the balloon idea where the husband and wife filled up hundreds of balloons with little notes.

Project Exploring the Internet: Day 88
Comedy.com seems like, "Geez, why haven't I been there before?" but it's a new one to me.
Examples of what is there:
Kid Jumps on the Frozen River and goes through the Ice - It's funny in a way, but dangerous as all heck. What were those kids thinking?

Dude, I was totally in bed, falling asleep to Will Smith's '7 Pounds' movie (I hate it when people say film), when I realized, oh crap, my blog!
So I Googled, OH CRAP.
LOL
This is what I found....
Funnypart.com
It's mostly funny pics. LOL. Will I get to sleep now?
The Before and After pic really made me laugh.
The Be Careful pic was OK.
BUT
The Hello It's Me just really cracked me up.

Wow, 70 days in.... still going.
I think some of my entries have been good and others have been blah.... LOL. Would it be cheating if I went back and fixed some?
:)
The Weather Channel and their desktop application is probably my favorite weather site online. I can see the temp in my area any time jus looking at my desktop (lower right hand corner). That's one of the best things.
AccuWeather.com - Type in your zip code and the weather in your area is there. They also have some videos and maps.

OOOOOO
Hey Y'all!
I found a really good site today!
:)
1980 Games has free games from the 1980's that some of us grew up with.
Now, for your kids, they might be way dumb but they hold good memories for many of us.
I just got my butt kicked on Mrs. Pac-Man LOL.
They've also got Donkey Kong, Mario Bro's, Kung Fu, Rushin Attack, Frogger and many others.

Democracy Now has tons of great news stories. They also have many videos that are interesting.
One of my favorites is the hour they had with Buffy Sainte-Marie on November 26th, 2009.
Most of their shows are an hour. Another I found interesting is, Climate Change and the Global South: A Roundtable Discussion.

Project Exploring the Internet: Day 60
Ok I found something kinda funny today.
There's a site where people actually write in complaints about their boss or whomever to get it off their chest.
It's called B****ingNetwork.com.
Here are a couple of examples:
SHADOW: I laugh my ass off when I see a cop in a NO Parking Zone and hes Parked there Runs into Starbucks and grabs coffee and runs back out before the what ??? THE COPS GRAB HIM??? 2 sets of laws in our society folks
BITINGMYTONGUE: My boss gave me a raise and then spent too much money on shit for the workplace, stuff we didn't ask for or need and took my raise away. Then she yelled at us for spending too much money! WTF?! She frieked out on a coworker who called in sick with the swine flu!! As if it was her fault she was sick!

Project Exploring the Internet: Day 59
ESPN is driving me nuts.... well it always does so I don't try to watch it much but if I'm needing a sports fix.... What else are you going to do?
ESPN has pretty much a monopoly on sports and they are so east-coast-biased it makes me sick. What also bothers me about them is that they blow up stories that shouldn't be and they just drive them into the ground.
Take the latest Tiger Woods incident.... Tiger crashed his car into a tree in front of his house. ESPN is making it into this big deal where EVERY 5 MINUTES they are talking about it. On Mike and Mike in the Morning, they were actually talking about wether or not they should talk about it.... FOR AN HOUR! Well, I listened for less than 5 minutes, turned it off, and then about an hour later switched back and they were still talking about it, then I shut it off again.
LOL
It's either that or it's NY teams this, NY teams that. I don't like NY teams! So I try to stay away from ESPN.
I'll watch NBA TV when I can or Fox Sports North. FSN though doesn't have the same coverage. They have a lot of fishing shows etc.
So I started thinking, where can you get sports online that isn't the Eastcoast SPorts Network?
All Sports:
Yahoo Sports
NFL:
NFL.COM
MLB:
MLB.COM
NBA:
NBA.COM
Boxing/MMA:
BoxRec
Sports Talk Radio:
Fox Sports Radio, KFAN MPLS (Although KFAN is becoming less and less sports for some reason. It think the radio personalities have just gotten bored talking sports. Maybe time to get someone in that WANTS to talk sports on a SPORTS TALK RADIO STATION!), The Ticket Dallas, Atlanta 790, Calgary 770, Florida 790, Toronto 590, St. Louis 590, Utah 1320, Oklahoma 98.1, Seattle 950, Memphis 560
